Our Most Wonderful Blue Ribbon Celebration

It was, in the wind, painfully cold, yet our children and teachers showed no sign of discomfort as they stood on the plaza last Friday morning to celebrate PS 150’s Blue Ribbon designation. Wearing their Blue Ribbon t-shirts (over coats and under hats and scarves) and standing in the shape of a ribbon (check out the photo above!), the heart of our school listened as Principal Jenny Bonnet read a letter to the students from Governor Andrew Cuomo, and student representatives from 2nd through 5th Grades shared short expressions of their affection for our school. Finally, they performed the song that I at least have been hearing non-stop at home for the past few weeks: “A Brand New Day” from the  1978 movie, The Wiz.

Congratulations again, PS 150!
